The Fritillus Garden

The grid patterned petal of Fritillaria meleagris inspired this park. The name Fritillaria comes from the Latin fritillus meaning dice-box, possibly referring to the chequered pattern on the flowers. This pattern is overlaid on a degraded water meadow: fracturing it allows the water to flow once more, slowly restoring the natural habitat.
